# Backups

> Encrypted, passphrase-locked snapshots of everything.

**Backups** take an encrypted, passphrase-locked snapshot of everything: projects, clients, evidence, screenshots, users and their two-step login, and settings. Without the passphrase the file cannot be opened.

Encrypted backups with restore

Keep a copy in your password manager. Moving to another machine is just install, sign in as admin, open Backups and restore. For per-project moves, use Export archive and Import archive on Projects.
